My neighbor gave me a HUGE bagful of celery, cut up into maybe 5" slices. Besides "ants on a log", which is the only thing I can thing of off-hand, what kind of simple things can I do with all this celery? Any ideas??

I assume I can't freeze it...or can I? I'm not sure it would thaw so well...

celery w/ cream cheese
celery w/ PB
veggie dip tray
braised celery (yes, you can cook it)

If you have plenty of time on your hands and enjoy chopping a million things, you can make a waldorf salad (apples, celery, walnuts, raisins).

I also use it in homemade stuffing.

You can mince some in potato salad also.

Personally, I'd dehydrate it.

I like all of the things Calimari suggested. I also like it in gumbo (chicken or shrimp) and pasta salad. I eat it with pb or cream cheese all the time. I haven't had waldorf salad in a long time but I really like that too. Also, if you keep it in a tupperware with ice water it will stay crisp longer.

Hey, great suggestions, ladies! Thank you all!

(It goes to show I have absolutely no imagination whatsoever where celery is concerned)
