What's cooking tonight?

We are having turkey burgers on the grill with sliced avocado and tomato, baked beans and pasta salad.

Goodmorning Indy

I think I am gonna do stroganoff out of the leftover roast and boil up some egg noodles and peas.

Dh should be home tomorrow......so I wanna prep a lasagne.........oh that reminds me....I have an awesome new tip for you all.........

I discovered a great new way to prep a lasagna and give myself a day off from cooking!!!

Do this a day ahead...
Run a pot of hot as possible tap water......and just soak your lasagna noodles(reg ones)while you are cooking the meat(they wanna soak 20-30 min)Cook your meats...add your sauce...NOT heating it......assemble your lasagna and refrig overnight(ya ever notcie how lasagna is usually better the next day-this makes it just as good the first time round) set out at room temp for an hour before baking.

Saves on heating up your house(at least for the assembly part)and the flavors meld alot better....

Breakfast: Corned beef hash and eggs, toast and milk
Lunch: Turkey sandwiches, chips and carrot sticks
Dinner: Chicken and mushroom saute, rice, green beans and salad. Dessert: I have another carton of strawberries to wash and slice plus some cool whip to finish off.

Update: Just found out we have no hot water due to the bottom part of the heater being under one foot of water. Instructions say to not light it yourself and to call a tech. Lucky us it is Saturday so we probably wont get anyone over here until Monday. If I cook dinner, I am not gonna cook anything that is gonna dirty up too many dishes. May be running to the store for some paper plates, etc.

It SO hot here, over 100 actual temp. I am definitley not using the oven and didnt get my act together to put anything in the crockpot. We grilled out last night but I am sure DH will not feel like standing over the hot grill again after he's worked outside all day.

I think we will just get Pizza Hut pizza. I have coupons and a $5 gift card.
