All of the Archer Farms items I've tried from Target have been real good. Great Value is pretty decent from Walmart. Food Club brand from Cashwise is excellent-we can't really tell the difference between the name brand and the generic Food Club. About the two things I can think of that we won't buy generic is peanut butter and mac and cheese.

I agree,

I love the target brand, Kirkland (costco) and all Trader Joes brands.

Best Choice is great, I prefer them over the name brands on pretty much everything. The only things I won't buy generic are margarine and ketchup.

I'm doing the same as another poster and trying generic brand products a little at a time. So far Stop and Shop brand products have been decent and I love Trader Joe's products. I actually think the trader joe's brand surpasses most of the name brands by far. Also the BJ's store brand (berkley and jensen) is pretty good and it is a huge savings from the name brands.

Oh, and just like the above poster I will not buy generic ketchup ever. It has to be Heinz!!
