I am leaving dh alone for 3 weeks and I doubt he will use 2 whole heads of garlic

can I freeze them whole? I googled it and found that I could puree it and freeze it, but that is too much work right now...lol

HELP!

How about just leaving it in the refrigerator? I'm sure it will last just fine for three weeks.

I have two heads of garlic in the frig now. I can't remember when I bought it. Okay, one head sprouted a little green shoot. I should probably plant that one. But the other one I could still use. Garlic lasts a long time.

As long as you take out the shoot you can still eat it. I have done that many times and I am still alive and kicking

Yes take the paper off it and leave it in whole cloves and pop it in the freezer. It keeps for ever.I buy it this way in a half of a gallon jug at sam's and keep it in the freezer for about a year.
