I enjoy being in the kitchen because: it is my escape! I feel like I am in control and I can escape to my own little world.
If my kitchen could talk it would say “this” about me: she's doing too many things at once!
I learned everything I know about cooking from: my grandmother and a dear friend's mom...my mom does cook, just in the same way!
What I try to teach my kids about cooking:
it's fun...not work!
Funniest cooking story:
It wasn't funny then, but my first holiday turkey was placed in the oven around 11 p.m. and it was going to cook slow over night. Unfortunately, we awoke to flames in the kitchen.....the broth/grease had flowed over my pan and caught on fire. My husband was trying to put this fire out and I was worried about the turkey because I knew I couldn't find another one on Christmas morning. I was expecting around 20 guests for lunch!! OH NO! However, it was the most delicious turkey we've ever had for a holiday. I have even been told to make another one JUST LIKE IT! haha!
My family LOVES it when I cook this:
Baked Ziti, Salad and Cherry Delight!
