Hi,
I'm in need of a source for bulk seasonings, in particular sesame seeds. Usually I order from Spices, etc, but last time I went there, the shipping was $13.95. I could wait until they have another shipping special or a coupon, but my son is wanting the dish I make with sesame seeds.

Thanks!

I have used Penzey's a few times...can't recall how much the shipping was last time I ordered, but it wasn't outrageious or I wouldn't have used them. LOL They also have actual stores, so maybe one is near you?

A few ethnic type markets/grocery stores near me sell bulk spices and very reasonable prices. Are there any in your area?

I order all my spices from

http://www.mainstreetmarketplace.net/index.asp

His shipping charges are really reasonable and he ships fast.

Just looked - seasame seeds are 5.99 a pound and shipping for orders up to 15.00 is 6.00.

Sam's Club used to carry big containers of seasonings - I don't belong anymore so I don't know if they still do. Even if you're not a member, maybe someone you know is? Or you could try to see if there is a food wholesaler near you that sells to the public - back home we had a Sysco foods store where you could get all kinds of neat stuff packaged for restaurants.
