As of today 7/26, I have spent 258.25 in total on groceries this month. I really want to hit next weeks sale, but I've already gone over and this is the last week of the month so I think I will sit this one out.

I need to save for August, as I plan to do a BJs stock up and I always spent quite a bit there.

ACK! We're over. Either I have to change our budget or DH has to stop those fast food runs!!

The good: We're $55 less than last month and if I look at what we spent in groceries, we're below $500. When I started this challenge 2 months ago, I was spending $750 a month, so we've improved.

The bad: Too much eating out. We only get fast food and stick to the dollar menu. We need to really work on that as it is definitely our "budget buster". But, it has also gone down from last month, so we're getting somewhere.

I will admit that I probably went WAY over in June, I think I spent close to $500. But that was including a BJs shop, and lots of stocking up on meats and so forth. SO when I did my grocery budget for July, I decided to JUST shop the sales to stock up on what we already had and try to get ready for winter.

I should have just enough left to buy another gallon of milk and a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese. I am going to have to buy some stuff for about 3 meals to get us through until dh gets paid, but I am going to wait until August 1 so it won't count for this month. I think next month I am going to have to aim for $350, I am almost out of everything as far as cleaning supplies and stuff.
