Hope that wasn't confusing

I bought a couple pumpkin pies for 1.00 each at the Sara Lee Bakery outlet store. We had one thawed out and had it for snack tonight. It was the pre-baked and cut kind too. What a steal

Does anyone else buy things like that other than at a holiday?

I get the cravings in between holidays and want it.I know some people think it is only for holidays and only have it at a holiday time.

We normally get two "free" turkeys at Thanksgiving and we have one in July with all of the fixings. It doesn't get to hot in the house because I have a turkey roaster. My kids love it and so do I. We even invite our extended family over for dinner.

We're suckers for pumpkin pie too!!! I'll make a couple whenever we're in the mood. You got such a great deal on those pies!!!!!

We do a spiral ham a couple times per year and we have a large turkey in our freezer right now. DH always cooks the turkeys, so it's up to him, but we do have them other than at holiday time.

I always stock up on turkeys during the holidays. I usually will cook about 4 per year. What a great way to have a yummy meal and get some good meat for other meals! I have one left in my freezer right now. I too have a turkey roaster so I may have to cook one up later this month.

We do turkey for a mid summer meal too. It's a great change of pace from the normal summer meals and for some reason I see to enjoy it more then. That might be because it's done without all of the business of the holidays.
