1 1/8 cup water
2c bread flour
1c whole wheat flour
2 1/4 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tbsp butter
3 tsp active dry yeast

Add according to your bread machine instructions.

I put the water in first, add flours, sugar and salt, butter and yeast on top. Bake on whole wheat cycle 1.5 lb loaf.

I've tried several wheat bread recipes and this is my favorite so far. I like the texture and flavor. My dh & five year old also approve

Do you use an equal amount of honey as to the amount of sugar the recipe calls for? Thanks!
