Today I made Banana Bars and Cookie Bars and took some to one of the neighbors. Yesterday she brought me green beans from her garden. We exchange quite regularily. I often send food home with people if they stop by when it's freshly made.

I'm so glad this thread was here - I'm taking a meal to a friend with a new baby this week. I'm stuck on ideas of something to bring... Instead of an oven meal, I'd like to either bring something hot or take something that doesn't require heating up since they don't have air. I don't want to make them turn their oven on!

My DH always reminds me not to try anything too adventurous for the first time when I'm taking it somewhere... So does anyone have any examples of what they might take? I saw a lot of baked goods ideas, but no dinners really. Any help is appreciated!
