We like shallots too. I always have yellow and red on hand...I do buy white vidalia occasionally, usually for a recipe.

I like Vidalia onions and shallots the best. Alot of times I will buy yellow onions if the sweet onions are not in season.

I didn't pay attention that it was a multiple choice poll, but I usually use yellow and green onions. I will use red if a recipe calls for it specifically, unless I don't have any on hand and haven't planned for it.

Love vidalias as well, we also use sweet yellow and green onions. I grow the green ones in my garden every year, my DH loves them!

I always buy the big yellow and white ones. I don't like red onions, especially raw in salads, ew, who thinks that's a good idea?
