my grandmother used to make pinwheels with extra dough. roll it out, spread softened butter or margarine on it, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste, roll, cut into 1/2" slices (use sharp knife), place on cookie sheet or in cake pan (doesn't matter if you separate them or squash them together), bake according to pie crust directions. They might need extra time. You should be able to tell they're done when they lose their shine. Very yummy! If you want to be really creative, thin slice some apples and roll them up in there.

Thaw them out, cut into quarter inch thin strips, take thin strips and plait them together, brush with melted butter, bake, dip one end into melted chocolate and refrigerate, or dip into powdered sugar and serve with Nutella or chocolate to dip into. One of my dd's friends has pie crust sandwiches which to me sound horrible unhealthy, but dd quite likes them. I think white bread w/butter, sprinkled with sugar and pie crust and maybe jelly, PB or choc spread too.

That sounds like something that would be nice to make when we have guests over

Thanks...

If your just trying to avoid dessert pies, you could make a pot pie. You don't have to use a bottom crust if you don't want, you could just put it on top.

I make something similar, but with brown sugar instead of cinnamon and sugar. We call them "rollie pollies".
