Not me. Margarine is very bad for you. I do use olive oil for cooking, or my butter/olive oil blend.

We use Promise buttery spread. My dad had a heart attack a couple of years ago and his cardiologist recomends that he use Promise instead of real butter or margarine. So I figure what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I only use real butter and I buy it by the pound in sticks. I've never bought margarine or any type of 'spread'. They taste really gross to me and margarine esp is really bad for you, you're better off using real butter. I do also use olive oil or cooking oil when cooking, just depends on what I'm making. Iif you use some olive oil when you're using butter, it will keep the butter from burning.

I prefer stick butter, but DH is all about that "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter". If I buy stick butter though, he find its and uses it for who knows what. I have to hide it. I'm getting better though!

I would love to use real butter in everything but it is pricey so I use margarine.

we use olive oil for cooking, unsalted butter for baking, and smart balance for spreading (I never remember to keep butter out to soften it)

From what I understand, smart balance is not margarine (so doesn't have the creepy stuff in it). If anyone knows any creepy info on it, I'd love to know. Margarine creeps me out

ETA: Also, I don't think that I can't believe it's not butter should be in the same category as smart balance. If you read the ingredients, it has partially hydro oil in it and smart balance does not.

We only use light spreadable butter in a tub (Balade brand) and olive oil (Kirkland) that we buy from Costco.

I use butter that is bought by the pound, in a big brick, not in small sticks. I only buy it when it's on sale for $2.99 or less though. We REALLY stock up, because I hate paying over $4 for a pound of butter at regular price.

For cooking I use butter, even though I do have olive oil I don't like the taste. I may try mixing them together.

For baking I tend to use margarine because it's cheaper.
