I felt like that tonight. I cooked some frozen chicken breasts in the microwave, topped with salsa. Served it with tortilla chips and a salad.

Well I go through phases so it's really a pain for me. Sometimes all I want to do is cook cook cook. Other times I don't want to touch a pan for anything. And it's not just one night, it can go on for weeks. We used to eat out a lot during those times but that's expensive and unhealthy because it would be fast food. Now I keep the cheap and unhealthy on hand, lol. Sometimes it'll be cereal. Sometimes it will be sandwiches. Sometimes it will be ramen. Sometimes it will be mac and cheese. I'm trying to get in the habit of using the crock more. I'm debating doing a once a month cooking session but that just tires me out like nothing else. But it is only one weekend. I dunno.

Usually we will do something simple like breakfast foods, soup/sandwiches, ramen, hot dogs, sloppy joes, etc...anything that takes 15 min. or less for those nights.

I do the same as everyone else-cold sandwiches, salad, leftovers. I am usually pretty good about cooking during the week. On the weekends I do get a little break because dh is always gone friday and saturday nights, so I can cook easier meals. Those nights it will be something chicken patties on buns, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, boxed mac and cheese, etc. Not the most healthiest of meals, but I do always make a veggie and or salad plus some fruit to go with it. One thing that has really helped is that I got a small toaster oven. So I can still cook up lots of things and not turn on the oven. This is not to say that we never break down and eat out, but we try and only do it once a month.

I always have chicken patties in the freezer for those nights - I often don't have rolls, but I email DH and he will pick them up on his way home. I can fit four patties in the toaster oven so it doesn't heat up the house, and I use frozen veggies and cut up some fruit. We occasionally order pizza, but in the last year or so I have cut down from pizza about once every other week, to about once every 6 weeks (and many of those are planned meals - my kids can "earn" their choice for dinner and they almost always pick pizza).

RARELY do we order out. We eat left overs, breakfast for dinner, have dh cook dinner or grill out OR we just snack through out the evening on meats, cheeses, crackers and veggies.

There is a bakery down the street that has different homemade soups, casseroles, pies etc. I just run down there, pick something up and make a salad to go with it. No cooking and we still get a homemade meal
