Since our current ceramic fruit bowl isn't pulling it's weight anymore, I want to use a large stainless steel bowl for apples/bananas, etc.

Is that safe to hold fruit??? I keep thinking about some metal-fruit chemical "reaction". I don't know why I'm having a problem thinking this is safe.

I've been wanting a two-tiered bowl as my current one is too small, but couldn't find any large enough.

I saw a large stainless bowl at IKEA, but didn't get it. When I got home, I forgot that I had an even larger stainless bowl sitting in my cabinet.

So, that saved me $25!!!!!
