I have found that if I make a pasta casserole(like ziti or goulash)I will add one packet of onion soup mix.It adds in a extra kick and tastes good.

Do you have anything special you like to add into it?

Never thought to add in onion soup mix to a pasta dish. Interesting. I add garlic to everything whether or not the recipe called for it.

I like to add garlic and onions/shallots to just about everything. I also have added black olives, tomatoes, fresh basil, almonds, peppers.

Lipton has a ranch soup mix (or at least used to, haven't bought it in months) and that is really good in the sauce. It is really, really good when I have alfredo sauce.. YUMMY!

My family's favorite is Chicken Alfredo topped with a combination of:
a can of diced tomatoes with green chilis, mushrooms, onions that has been heated. Then I add cut up slices of pepperoni, and French Fried Onion.
Not exactly low cal but its a nice change. My husband perfers this alfredo dish to any he can get by eating out, and I can make it for a family at the cost of a plate at the local restaurants.

My favorite pasta is: Penne cooked with chicken or vegetable broth, spinach, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, chopped artichokes, and at the end I top it with goat cheese or feta. So good!
