Okay...so this is kind of a ~Brown Bag~thread spinoff.....

But with everyone looking for lunch ideas I think it's a great idea.

Sandwiches are the standard lunchbox addition....and since in the BB Thread we talked about varying the bread...I realized,yes I do like a fancy bread once in the while w/a good sandwich,but I also do a TON of things w/condiements...AND...a fancy condiment is usually comprised of all the basic things we all have anyway(so little,if any,extra monies need be spent at the store)




If you have suggestions or tips feel free to post them

I'll leave this sticky up for a week so be sure to watch....it's gonna fill up quick.

Honey Mustard
~~~~~~~~~

2 c mayo
2 Tbs yellow mustard
2 Tbs honey
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Mix all and chill to blend.

Great with all things chicken.

Chipotle Mayo
~~~~~~~~~

1/2 c mayo(NOT miracle whip)
2 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce
1 Tbs adobo sauce from chipotle peppers

Just mix all.

My dh loves this on just about anything....Dad likes it on BLT's...you can do alot with it....tacos~queasadillas...anything

Turkey Topper
~~~~~~~~~

1/2 to 3/4 c chopped red onion(I do a GOOD 1/2 c finely chopped)
1 Tbs dried thyme
1/2 c mayo
1/4 c coarse-grain brown mustard

Mix all.


This is great on turkey and swiss....and also great in the fall to put on the inside of a turkey and grilled swiss cheese before pan frying..yum.

1 c ranch dressing
1-2 tsp cream-style horseradish

Mix and add to roast beef sandwiches


or a little fancier yet...

Horseradish-Ranch Dressing:
1 c ranch-style salad dressing:
8 tsp prepared horseradish
4 tsp parsley, finely chopped
4 tsp sweet red pepper, finely chopped


Mix all and refrigerate about an hour for flavors to blend.

Southwest Club Sauce
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1/3 c mayo
2 Tbs chopped fresh cilantro
1-2 Tbs minced pickled jalapeņo chilies
(great w/whole grain bread,smoked turkey,red onion,avocado,and some sprouts)

Quick Southwest Wrap Sauce
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1/4 c mayo or miracle whip
1/2 c chunky salsa


Mix all and add to turkey wraps w/cheese and shredded lettuce

My Brothers Sub Sauce

1/4 c Italian dressing

Mix and add to you basic subs.(My bro loves this)

Just a thought.....but my friend in Arizona loves to put hummus on Greek Heros(basically a veggie sub w/feta cheese)

Might be a thought for our vegetarians:Thumb
