Making a list and sticking to it, not buying junk food. And buying reduced meats when I come across any.

Reviewing the ads first, and matching them with coupons.

Coupon, coupon, coupon. I match ads with coupons before I shop and growing a garden this year has helped too.

I 2nd everything that everyone already mentioned. I did cut out buying so many already made cookies and started to make homemade ones. I stock up on many items that I use to not and freeze them. Use smaller amounts of meat when it comes to certain recipes.

Going to the store only once a week
Not buying snack foods. I do bake more, but I think we eat fewer treats too.
shopping at Walmart instead of my nearby store.

Forgive me, I don't remember where you are from. I live south of SB/Mish

One of the best ways that I am reducing my budget is that I shop a bent-n-dent store near me. There are several in the area. Many times there is nothing wrong with the product - it just past its season. Like there are tons of things at the store with the Olympics on them. Well, as soon as the Olympics are over stores don't want products with the Olympics on them - so these products will go to these stores. This saves me tons of money.
