Rachael ray's or paula deens pots and pans??

I am in the market for some, and I like rachael rays big oval sauce pan, but paula deens "looks" ( as far as you can tell in a catalog ) higher quality

it is pricey, like $200 for the 10 piece set, so I want to make sure that I am getting a good set.

Sorry, no. My only warning with purchasing any boutique brand like that is to make sure that you can easily purchase replacement parts (lids, handles, etc.) should something happen to one of the pieces. The ones endorsed by chefs sometimes tend to be a little difficult with that.

I don't but I was flipping through the JCPenny cooks catalog and Paula Deen has a 12 pc porcelain-enameled cookware set on sale for $119.99 Plus Spend over 99.00 use the code PAULA for free shipping.

IMO, I dont think that just because it has someone famous endorsing it that its any better.

I got a set of Farberware Millenium for a close out at Tuesday Morning almost 3 yrs ago and still looks and works great!!! It was less than a $100!

I know you were asking about those particular pots & pans but I really like Martha Stewart's stuff at Kmart. I bought a 2qt pot and really love it. I have been wanting to go back for 1qt pot for veggies and a large soup pot for cooking corn.

I never even thought about the martha stewart brand, I shall make my way into Kmart

I have been wanting pans for awhile, and it seems like none that I like seem to be of good quality, and those looked nicer than what I had seen so far....but that's why I asked, cause I am just lookin' in a catalog! LOL

$200 for 10-pieces is not too expensive. Ours were about $300 for 7 pieces (though we used a coupon of course ) and I LOVE them. They are Anolon.

I agree with the previous posters about the celebrity names. You may just be paying for the name. Remember the $30 garbage bowl?

My friend bought the oval pan by rachael ray from Amazon.com and loves it. She doesn't have any other of her brands. I own WolfGang Puck pans but I purchased them from Marshall's at a discount price.
