I bought some mushrooms, but can't remmeber exactly how long ago I bought them. I am pretty sure I bought them last week. I found this article, but it doesn't exactly help me with my problem. LOL. Just read it.
How long do shrooms stay good and usable?? - Yahoo! Answers

Another article told me 1 week, but like I said I don't know if it has been a week or not. They don't smell, and they aren't slimy. The article said they are probably good if they didn't get any darker and they aren't slimy.

They were organic white mushrooms, I got them from Meijers. They are in the styrafoam basket with saran wrap. Any suggestions?

Ya know what, I took another look at them, and they just don't seem right. I tossed them. I hate wasting money! I think that is the second time I had to throw mushrooms out because I forgot to use them. I would love it if they would put expiration dates on them.

I use them if they are a week old.If they are getting a lot of brown spots or stink then I toss them. But if they are not really fresh I will slice them and have them in something like gravy or a casserole.Just to be safe
