Default Drying Strawberries/Blueberries?

I searched and couldn't find an answer...

How would I go about dehydrating these.. I have frozen fruit and I can get fresh also.
I found this recipe and would love to try it:

Instant Oatmeal Packets

Ingredients

* 3 C. Quick-Cooking Oats
* Salt
* 8 Plastic Sandwich Bags
* Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal:
* To each packet add 1 T. sugar, 1/4 t. cinnamon, and 2T. chopped dried apples.
* Sweetened Oatmeal:
* To each packet add 1 T. sugar
* Cinnamon-Spice Oatmeal:
* To each packet add 1 T. sugar, 1/4 t. cinnamon, and a scant 1/8 t. nutmeg.
* Oatmeal with Raisins and Brown Sugar:
* To each packet add 1 T. packed brown sugar and 1 T. raisins.
* Wheat Germ Oatmeal:
* To each packet add 2 T. any kind of wheat germ
* Fruit and Cream:
* (This is my own to satisfy the kids)
* To each packet add 1T. dry milk and 2T dried fruit or fresh fruit after cooking or jam.

Directions

1. Put 1/2 C. oats in a blender and whirl at high speed until powdery; reserve in a small bowl and repeat procedure with an additional 1/2 C. oats. If you're using a food processor, powder the 1 C. of oats in one motion. Into each sandwich bag put 1/4 C. unpowdered oats, 2 T. powdered oats, and a scant 1/4 t. salt. Store in a box or airtight container.
2. To Serve: Empty packet into a bowl. Add 3/4 C. boiling water; stir and let stand for 2 minutes. For thicker oatmeal, use less water; for thinner, use more water. (I microwave for 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 minutes or until done on high)

Do you have a food dehydrator? That would be the best way. You need hot, dry air to dry naturally, and some ovens aren't able to cook low enough (140and under) to allow to dry in the oven without cooking -besides it takes a ton of energy and time.

If you have a food dehydrator, the instruction manual should tell how to dehydrate different fruit.

I have a dehydrator but no manual.. I know that some things have to blanched, I'm just not sure if the strawberries and blueberries need to be..

You don't have to blanch strawberries but since you'll be slicing them, I'd coat them with 'Fruit Fresh' or dip them in a mixture of lemon juice and water to keep them from going dark. The blueberries you'll dehydrate whole. They turn out like raisins. Both strawberries and blueberries you dehydrate to sticky-leather consistency. You don't want them dry and crispy.

What brand is your food dehydrator? Many often have manuals online, and generally it's 120-140 for 10 hours or so, I think.

At this moment I don't know the brand.. But it just plugs in no temperature knob...
