Now that summer is over, I can budget again. Our summer schedule is too topsy turvy to keep a budget , but I suspect it's not much more. Also, I am babysitting on Th and F which provides cash for groceries, so it's easier to budget.
So, I have decided to up my budget to $90/week, because of rising food prices. I did a big trip on Sat and spent $91, and that included a lot of meat since my supply is down to nothing, so I think this is where I need to be.
$360/month, $90/week... Let's hope I can pull this off, prices have gone through the roof!

Mil sent home a lot of stuff between the last two days being at her house and the guys going fishing.I made a list of all what I had to make it into meals this week. Here is what I got sent home with-

2 packs of ritz crackers,
3/4 loaf of homemade bread,
4 kinds of cakes(german chocolate, red velvett, truffle & carrot cake-Kids will eat this up for snacks after school),
2-4 packs of fritters(kids been using this for snacks and breakfast),
bag of carmel,butter,cheese popcorn,
2-15 count solo plastic plates(They have deviders and MIL doesn't like that kind),
1/2 bag of baking potatoes,
bag of chips not openend,
pineapple jello,
strawberry jello,
1 whole chicken,2 chickens that were partially ate on(Gonna do soup and all kinds of dishes the next couple weeks to use this up),
hot salsa,
mild salsa,
1/2 gallon of vitamin d milk,
ranch chip dip,
French onion chip dip,
3/4 loaf of bread from sandwiches,
bottle of squeeze helmans mayo,
3/4 container of dijon mustard,
3/4 bag of cheese curls(Can use in lunches),
1/2 bag of tortilla chips.
Also MIL was looking through her freezer and gave us 7-8 ounce steaks(FIL didn't like them),
5 pound of 80/20 burger and I devided that into 5 packages,
1 foot long sub with all different kinds of meat and cheese and dh is going to slice into pieces each day and take it for work(it is huge).
We sure did get blessed this week huge!
I think I got it all. There is so much there and so much I can work with.I was waiting on making a menu until I know what all I was going to have. Now time to get that menu done. so my budget is at $342.58 still.

I'm doing $275 +$25 for stocking up again. I spent $240 last month, so I'm going to Sam's to spend my extra $60 on stocking-up today.

I'm going to go for $260 again this month. Last month I was over by about $25. It is going to be hard. BF is starting a new job, so we will need lunch foods for him, and to not eat out after work.
