I only use real butter...I use Land O Lakes 99% of the time.

I buy store brand unsalted butter in sticks, this is what I mostly use. I also buy Smart Balance light for spreading, it lasts a long time since dh and I don't eat much bread.

I use GV brand, it's like half as much as the other brands. For margarine, whatever is cheapest, I think I have Imperial right now.

I like real butter. And I buy whatever is cheaper. The cheapest generic butter tastes the same as Land o Lakes to me. I buy margarine in the tub for my husband, he doesn't really care for butter. Pretty much any brand of margarine will do for him. I like to buy Olivio when it is on sale. It is a little bit healthier. I do not buy any diet margarine. It doesn't taste right. He doesn't like spray butter either, but I will use it sometimes.
The one brand I do not like, is Parkay. Tastes like plastic.
