I am going to be spending $200 this month on groceries! I started out at 400 a month 3 months ago and now have it down to $200 a month! There are 4 in my family! Dh, I, 2 y/o DD, and my baby DS. I do budget his formula seperately though!

I came in under my budget of $600 for September but I really need to get to BJs at some point. I'm going to budget $600 for everything (toiletries, CVS, etc.) for my hungry family of four plus various friends and relatives.

Also, we get a lot of trick and treaters so I'll have to stock up on candy

Here's what I spent today:

Federal Meat Market
7 chicken patties
12 chicken nuggets
3/4# Canadian bacon
Total - $19.27

Jubilee - dwindling regional chain
Country Spare Ribs ($1.89# sale) - $7.71
Round Roast ($2.89# sale) - $5.86
Banquet Frozen Sausages (5 @ $1) - $5.00
Daisy Sour Cream (8 oz.) - $1.00
Kleenex Tissues - $1.00. Used a $1.00 coupon. - .00
Ivory Soap (3 pack) - $1.00
Yoplait Yogurt (7 @ .59) - .59 coupon = $3.54
Total - $24.29

Tops - regional chain which gives gas discounts
soy sauce - $1.79
Swanson broths - (6 @ .60 - $1 coupon) - $2.60 sale
(I know I have to start making my own. )
Tops Egg Noodles - $1.50 sale
Tops Iced Tea - $5.17
Dole Salad - $2.50
Bananas (.59#) - .65
Strawberries (#) - $2.99
Pumpkin Flavored Creamer (16 oz.) - $1.69 sale
Chocolate Flavored Creamer (32 oz.) - $3.27 sale
Tops Milk (gal.) - $2.79
Tops Vanilla Yogurt (32 oz.) - $1.99
Tops Cheese Slices - $2.99
Total - $29.93

Budgeted for October - $600
Amount Remaining - $526.51

Ok ladies, critique away! LOL! The string cheese is pretty much non negotiable as are the Capri suns, and I don't see me giving up my diet pepsi any time soon (and that is good for my familys sake!LOL).

I don't normally buy the foil pans, but a good friend of ours was in a motorcycle accident and I am making some food to send over to their house so my friend doesn't have to worry about cooking for a couple nights when she is taking the girls to see their daddy.

I went grocery shopping over the last two days and have spent $189 for two weeks. I am very happy with that total because in the past I was averaging $300 every two weeks!
I have I have $310 left in my budget.
Does any one here do bulk shopping at Sam's or Costco? My husband and I are heading there tomorrow to stock up on:
papertowels, bath tissue, cleaner, cleaning wipes, shampoo and condition, chicken meat.
Do you think shopping at these bulk places helps or do you actually spend more money?
