I like #1 best but they are both beautiful!

You are making me want to make cards.

You know, the funny this is that I never, and I mean never thought I'd be into card making. When people asked if I scrapbooked, I would just laugh. I love the look of it but I am seriously not crafty. But then I went away for the weekend with friends a few weekends ago and they were into it and they encouraged me to try it out and come up with my own style. I tried it and now I'm hooked. I have long way to go .. but I'm pleasantly surprised at how much fun it is and how therapeutic it is.

With so much of my Mom work (and my other work) there is nothing to show for it at the end of the day. I make dinner, people eat it. I plan an event, people go to it, I make a bed, it gets un-made. But with card making, I'm creating something that doesn't get undone and that is way more satisfying than I ever thought possible.

PS Thanks everyone for the Mommysaver love. I feel incredibly loved and supported by people I've never met. I've been deeply touched by your words of comfort. Thank-you all.

KH, I too am sorry for your loss, and send prayers up for the family.

That said , I like the white doves better, but I like design #2 better. Are the cards glued down already? If not could you try placing the design of #2, but using the white doves? Using a black card, white mat, smaller black mat, then the design? That would be the only other thing that I would maybe suggest. (does all that make sense?)

Any way you cut it, you are doing a GREAT job at your cards. I am glad to hear you are having so much fun

They aren't glued yet and I love your idea. I think what I'll do is make all three designs and use your idea for this situation. Thanks for a great idea!

I prefer #1 - it just gives me a calmer feeling. And I take it that's black on the background that is showing up as brown (at least on my screen)?

Not to confuse you, but I do like the "flying away in peace" inference on #2.

It is black ... and shows up black on my screen. Interesting that it showed up brown on yours.
