I've become addicted to the show diy scrapbooking on HGTV. The word fall was a technique they showcased the other day. I really like how it turned out.

I love that Fall! It is such a neat idea, and now my wheels are turning! Oh and to help with the scan I have found that if I put something soft like a bed pillow or a blanket folded up it is usually heavy enough to hold down my scanner lid to help with the bumpy layouts.
