I made an Altered Coffee Can for Ashlynns bedroom. I am going to cut two slits in the top and use it as a bank. One side is going to be for savings and the other is going to be for her "personal" funds. I will put a divider in the middle to keep it seperate. I had such fun doing this! And I think that it turned out kind of cool! I will be making one for Brooke and Kaylin too.
The only thing that I am not happy about is the top. You can kind of see that it is still wet. I painted it. Not sure if I like it or not.

Bumping this - Cause I googled "altered coffee can" and this link came Up.

This is so Cute!!

I want to Make some of these for my Kids this winter-

I was thinking about this Because - These aren't Too big , Yet they are alot bigger than Most "piggy Banks"

Did you get these Instructions someplace on the web?

Is this a Metal or Plastic Coffee container??

I think that it is funny that you "googled" it and a link with my post came up.

Anyway, I just started playing around with my papers and brads and flowers and hot glued them on. The can is metal. My parents have so many of them. I painted the solid strips of paper. Then I decided that I wanted the girls to learn to save for themselves and for the future so I made 2 slots.

I made 2 more for the other girls. It was really easy and the girls love putting the money in different areas.
