HealthNews Dozen: Top 12 Food Additives to Remove From Your Diet | Health News

Great article. Some I already avoid, like salt, sweeteners, and MSG. My DH is seriously affected by MSG. He use to get migraines all the time and he rarely gets them anymore. But he use to eat out more often, and now most of his meals are from home. We recently ate out and, I think, had a full MSG in your food attack. After reading this article, I'm wondering if there isn't a connection.

Most the things we already avoid, but the only one I can't is salt. Lucky me gets to salt the heck out of everything I eat, as I need it to maintain blood pressure and heart rate.

I remember when I had a roommate from China, and she had a big ol' pack of MSG for cooking. She only used a tiny bit when cooking, but I'd never seen it like that before. (It obviously doesn't bother me).

I appreciate this article because I have never heard of

Propyl gallate
Monosodium glutamate
Acesulfame-K .

I avoid as much as possible everything else though. Especially aspartame.

Very good article; most of these items we have already eliminated from our daily diets; will go through all of our food items again and double check.

Great article, I am really aware of how much salt is in products now ever since my dad has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and needs to be on a low sodium diet because of fluid build-up.
