I get a lot of recipes online but I use Dana Carpender's cookbooks. I have 5 of them! What LC cookbooks have you found that use "normal" ingredients and are tasty?

I haven't bought a low carb cookbook before.I did low carb for 2 years and got from 165 down to 130 and it felt great and I felt great. How are you doing with it?I find all my recipes online.Dh eats low carb for dinner alot and doesn't even know it.My uncle passed away last September and I gave up on low carb and alot of things.Recently I relised I need to get myself back together mentally and get back to myself. So I am low carbing again and I fogot how great I feel when I was doing it before.

Dana is the one on the foodnetwork too?I hope I am thinking of the right person.

Do you have some favorite recipes? If so post them please?

Thanks-I have posted some there too and I will post more as I get some more time too.

I hate to hear that you've "fallen off the wagon" but I totally understand. I ate LC for months faithfully and only lost 20# and then dealt with stepson issues that threw me in the tank. But I'm getting back to it and now that we've figured out that my thyroid is out of whack, I actually have more hope this time for better results. Since I'm the main cook, everyone here eats LC. If they want anything else, my dd(17) gets to make it. For the most part they enjoy it. ANd I love it.

I don't have cable, so know nothing of FoodNetwork. But she has written close to 10 books and I love them. I do get alot of recipes online but there are so many she makes that are great.

I'll get some loaded soon for you. What types are you most interested in? I have always had a sweet tooth so some of her desserts are my favorites.

We have a church dinner tomorrow and I always make sure I make at least a main dish and dessert that I feel good about eating. I'm thinking curry chicken and a LC version of Better Than Sex dessert.?

Hey, gals. Sorry I've been off the board for a while. There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. I need to post some recipes.

Ryans mom, do you go online for recipes? I have several websites bookmarked that are really great. User friendly recipes that are created by other LCers. I'll share them with you if you're interested.

BTW, my dh just started a research study having to do with high chol or trig and being overweight. He had to write down what he ate for three days and show it to a nutritionist/dietician. He said she was very impressed with the LC way we were eating except for his Pepsi and junk food at work! I think she thought LCers only eat meat and cheese! Fortunately he got the message and has been off Pepsi now for almost two weeks and had lost 6 pounds!I"m about to start a research study on obesity myself next week. Don't really know what it is about but willing to give it a looksee.
