Rice milk feels like it's coating my throat going down, and I don't like that sensation.
Soy milk gives me gas that can peel paint off the walls.
I've never tried almond milk.
I like whole cow's milk and I like goat's milk.

Goats milk has a different protein in it, check with your doc if its ok. it tastes a little salty, so be prepared. I like almond milk, I have a recipe somewhere for it, I will look it up, pm me if you want it.Rice milk is very expensive here, so I hardly get it. Cant use soya for health reasons, but dont like it anyway.

for some reason, I have developed a problem w/dairy products, so I drink soymilk or use when eating cereal. sometimes I even substitute it for reg. milk especially in mashed potatoes. i don't drink milk straight from the glass, though. never have- i do take my recommended calcium tabs each day so I can hope to prevent or slow osteoperosis.

You will never see me drinking a glass of milk, but I like milk in my coffee, and I like cold cereal.
I've tried both rice milk and soy milk, and didn't care for the taste of either one in my coffee or cereal.
In addition, I discovered that while I can eat edamame and tofu with no problem, soy milk gives me gas that could be used by the military as a chemical weapon.

I love goat's milk. It's easier to digest than cow's milk because the fat particles are smaller than cow's millk.

Phoenyx, about the only time I really want to drink a glass of milk is w/ warm cookies or brownies or chocolate cake. I haven't tried the goat milk yet as it is fairly pricy, although I do get the goat milk yogurt which is excellent. As I mentioned, I don't like the soy milk, and my doctor says women should not take soy. Rice milk is fine for cereal/recipes; the vanilla flavored is nice for a cappucino. But the almond milk (you can get regular/unsweetened/vanilla/ chocolate) - just tastes the best overall. I prefer unsweetened but the regular or vanilla is fine for cereal. I also like that it comes in the little boxes so that when it's on sale I can buy a bunch of them & keep them in the pantry, so there is a good shelf life that regular milk does not have.

I do not drink it but DS drinks Rice Dream instead of milk. He has GERD and like you said, milk is just hard to digest and reeks havoc on his system! I have baked with it fine.
