I'm not much of a planner for BR and LU. I want to lose about 10 lbs in the next 6 weeks. What would be a simple to plan breakfast and lunch I can eat and take on the go? I don't mind repetition.

My mom thinks I should maybe join a weight loss program but, I'd like to give it a go on my own and just cut back on food and up my activity level. I need a little advise on planning what I eat.

For breakfast I love smoothies .... I take 1 c milk, 1 c frozen fruit (rasberries, strawberries etc) and i serving protein powder and mix in a blender. I like the frozen fruit since it thickens it up ... the protein powder keeps me satisfied until lunch ..... probably about 250 cals.

Lunch - I like chef salads I make myself. I use about 3 c veggies with 2 ounces of ham or turkey or both. I weigh out the meat on a scale. One serving low fat dressing. Some whole wheat bread or crackers on the side. Water to drink.

Afternoon snack usually is apple with a little bit or peanut butter or yogurt.

I usually do the best when I measure out my food and keep a food diary. That way I can see what I am really eating.

How did you do with losing weight? I usually make breakfast my highest calorie meal (oats, protein powder, flaxseed, fruit and sometimes walnuts). Lunch is usually a sandwich of protein, fat, veggies.

Smoothies with protein powder is a great choice too! Those are so yummy!!
