DH goes to Vegas in two weeks for his work conference (5 days), and he's been doing so well on WW the past month that he's asked me to send snacks/food with him. Oh, and the company isn't paying for their meals anymore, so he'll have to do that on his own. He will get continental breakfast (at least, I'm assuming so -- he's staying at Mandalay Bay) so that will be covered. He said instead of eating out for lunch, he wants some things to eat in his hotel room and on the go (snacks too). I guess the company being cheap is a blessing in disguise! I want to send him with things that taste good, but I would like to help him stay as close as he can to his WW point allotment. Here are my ideas so far:

--granola/granola bars
--Fiber One cereal (for his breakfasts)
--tortilla chips/individual salsa cups
--individual pb cups (he can get bananas, apples from continental breakfast)
--soup cups
--crackers
--100 calorie packs popcorn
--I'd love to send small things of salad and individual dressings with him. I don't see a problem with it -- salad should be fine unrefrigerated for the day, right?

Are you allowed to take food in your bags when you fly?

Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

applesauce
sugar free jello (you can buy the ones that don't need ref)
fat free pudding
rasins
small mixed fruit bowls
small cans of peaches
I would load up on the soups

Can he go to a grocery store out there? That would be a lot easier with airline regulations. It is what I did in Vegas back in March.

I bought yogurt, Laughing Cow cheese, fruit cups, pudding cups, jello cups, veggies, etc. to keep in the fridge. I did bring some popcorn. Fiber One bars are a good snack, too, that won't get crushed. (Some of the ones you mentioned would be nasty after a flight.)

Make sure he takes a water bottle that he can keep refilling, too.

I love fiber one bars they keep you full for awhile. A good mix of sweet and salty.
Popcorn. Those chrystal light packets to add to water bottles.
I would send him to the store when he gets there and get some lean cuisines. I love the pizzas and panini's, and it replaces carry out for a hot meal. Baked lays potato chips or light pringles.

I agree with the grocery store idea, that might be easier. Or maybe there is one that delivers if he can't go there - when we went to Disney a couple years back someone told me about one that did that.
A Brita water pitcher - to filter the water at the hotel.

I can't believe the company isn't reimbursing him for food while on business travel. This is BEYOND cheap. Anyway, I take it your husband is checking a bag? Liquids are so limited that he couln't bring salad dressing or anything like in a bag he is carrying on the plane but non-liquid food items would be fine. Are you planning on having him buy a salad but then send low-cal stuf in case he doesn't like their choices? I don't really have much advice but I wish you luck! Soup cups are probably the way to go. Maybe he can hit Subway?
