I want to install a weekly soup night not only for economical reasons but both my 1 & 3 yr olds love soup. I'm tired of the same old same old. I make cream cheese ham & potato soup, vegetable soup (Borsch) & knoephla soup. I need some other recipes that are easy to moderately difficult to make. Any ideas would be great, my kids are use to me experimenting. TIA

I have a chicken and wild rice soup, or a beef barley, or....cheesy potato and sausage. Oooo - also could get a French Onion soup from my FIL if you would like. Let me know and I will post if you want.

Here is a simple one that really tastes good and its one of the few cans of soup Id use

! can of good quality tomato soup, plus a can or serving of sweetcorn
grated cheese

first cook tomato soup as you would normally, Id make this on half milk half water, put the sweetcorn into the soup pot to heat through.

put the soup when its ready into individual soup bowls garnish generously with grated cheese.

Pop each bowl under the grill till the cheese is melted and starts to bubble

and thats it,

its a great winter soup and super when you are in a hurry

I have others some made in the slow cooker, or would you prefer cold soup recipies?

Anne
