Alfredo Sauce
Melt 1 stick butter
add 1 c heavy whipping cream (small carton)
add 1 c grated parmesan (the real stuff - grate a wedge of it).

Heat, stirring, and pour over 1 lb. cooked fettucine noodles.

I have successfully made this w/ half the butter, also using half n half or whole milk. Sometimes then need to add a little flour to thicken it up a bit. If you add more liquid, it would be thinner.
