I have that recipe in a couple of books and have been wanting to try it for years. But the pickle kinda freaks me out. What does it do to the recipe?? Can you taste it??

It doesn't have a major pickle taste. It doesn't alter the taste of the whole thing. Try it. You can always take your pickle out when its done.

My mom was just talking about this recipe last week. My dad is 1/2 German and I have been trying to embrace my German heritage and try out their recipes. Thank you! I will be trying this soon!
