my dh says i'm always feeling myself up. i have had a lump before with a biopsy, so i guess i'm paranoid. my aunt was just diagnosed with breast cancer, so it is better to be safe than sorry.

I do it at least monthly. Early detection is SO important. I don't mess around with it.

I know I should. My Grandmother died of breast cancer at an early age. But the lazy (and not smart) side of me says that all of my aunts have significantly passed the age that my gma developed breast cancer; they've not had any malignant lumps; and I'm still young. I didn't vote b/c there wasn't a zero. I go to the dr yearly and he does a breast exam then. Bad me!!

I try to remember to do it once a month. It's a very emotionally difficult thing for me to do because I really hate having my breasts touched.

They this thing at Bath and Body Works that you wear on your hand like a little mitten or something...it's supposed to detect the teeny lumps your fingers alone might miss, but it also 'covers' your hand so it might make it easier to do the exam. Just a thought! I'll let you know how it works when I buy myself one. They are $9 or so.
