I had ds 8 months ago and since stopping breastfeeding I think I have had 3 periods. I have been really uncomfortable during ovulation which I didn't have before having him. I also seem to be more anxious during this time. Has anyone's periods changed since having kids and do you feel more anxious? Maybe I am needing some kind of vitamin or something?

I am the same way since I had my ds almost 7 years ago. My periods didnt change much since having kids but since I had my ds I definitely know when I am ovulating! My overies one or both will hurt really bad-worse than having menstural cramps! I asked my doc about all of this to see if there was anything I could do and she just told me to take tylenol and wait-like that is really going to help me. Dont know what else to tell you though since I dont really have an answer either except your not the only one.

I am the same way...but usually it is my right side more than my left...so I only have to deal with it every other month. I have gone to more than one doctor and I don't think there is anything you can do. At least they haven't figured anything out. I just try to not think about it. It usually only last the one day anyway. sorry I couldn't help more.

I have experienced this too. I have a very small uterus so my cramps can be killer too. I try to take plenty of vitamins around that time and sometimes even a Midol can help. The good thing is my periods have regulated more since having DS. I would say just try and eat as best you can and don't be afraid to take a Tylenol if it gets bad.
