So how is everyone doing???

I haven't weighed in 2 days, but at last weigh I've lost 7 1/2 lbs. Not bad for little over a week. I'm still hanging in there, but I really need to start exercising now that I've gotten past the first week of fatigue from lack of carbs.

Saturday I wasn't too good. Had the munchies all day, though everything I ate was almost carb free, I still ate a lot.

today i had bacon and eggs for breakfast and no lunch yet.. not hungry just yet... '

are you noticing you are not hungry a lot??

Also are you trying new recipes or just eating bland meats??

I have noticed I'm not nearly as hungry as I was before. I'll go half the day before I remember that I hadn't eaten anything.

I have simple things for breakfast and lunch... bacon and eggs, tuna salad, lunch meats and cheese. But for dinner I always make a nice recipe. Tonight we had beef florentine with mushrooms I sauted in wine. Last night I made porkchops with a creamy chive sauce and mashed cauliflower. I also had a snack last night.... spicy pork rinds smothered in cheese and a little sour cream for dipping (pork rind nachos). I know it sounds nasty, but it was pretty good and it really took care of the craving for something crunchy, for only 4 carbs.

I'm just SO craving a cold beer right now...... I know there are 3 in the fridge... I might just pour them down the sink to get rid of the temptation.....

HannahjoMommy,

Listen, you should be careful. Low carb diets should not be started if you are nursing a baby. You will need those extra calories and it can affect your milk supply. Believe me it's not fun. I tried it

Your Breast Feeding?!?!!? Honey, your not eating enough for two!!! I think the atkins diet would be ok while breastfeeding (though I'm not a doctor), but I think you should add more calories to your diet. That is the wonderfull thing about the diet. You can eat calories and fat, all you want as long as it's not carbs. It sounds like not only are you staying away from carbs, but your not eating a lot of anything according to your posts.... Please add a few more veggies to the diet. They have carbs, but your allowed 20 grams a day, even in the induction phase. Take care...
