Some questions.....
How often will you weigh? Will you post your loss on here? Will there be weekly check in or something?

I agree we do need a new thread and a new nickname......

Motivated Moms came to mind. Maybe others could give some suggestions and then we could do a poll. We only have a couple days though.


I am doing this for myself and my family. I want to get healthier so in June i can feel good enough to start trying for a third baby.

I would like to lose about 10 lbs/month.

I have decided that i am going to do my walking tape four times a week atleast.
My doctor already told me to lose atleast 10 in the next six months.

I am going to take before pictures. Never done that before. Wonder where i can hide them so no one ever finds them.

I am going to weigh once a week. Probably on Friday. I like doing it "before" the weekend.

I will probably weigh often, but probably wont post my actual weight on here, just progress in pounds lost. I'm too embarassed to post my actual weight and measurements!!

I think a weekly check-in will be good, but actual progress reports on the 5th of each month. Ex: I will post how much weight I've lost so far, inches, etc. But I'm not going to say everyone has to do that...I know life gets hectic so whenever you have time to post your progress is totally fine. If you all want to be more strict than that, we could do check-ins every Friday since that's what the 5th is. So like on the 12th, 19th, etc we could all post how we're doing...that's up to you all.

What should our new thread be called?? Anyone have a cute nickname?? I was thinking something like "Mommysavers Dieting Divas" or just "The Dieting Divas" something like that... :D

I think we're all thinking the same things! That's good that we're all on the same page. I like the Friday check in idea the more and more I think about it...

I am in! If anyone wants a great website to follow for food and calorie counting pm me. I love it and it helps me to be more motivated.

Goal : 50 pounds
Date: It was March 26th (my 30th birthday) now I have to push it to the end of May.
Small goals:
1-No more soda
2-Cut back on candy
3-no more acting as the "garbage disposal" for my kids when they eat
4-exercise 3-4 times a week aggressive and 2-3 times strength
5-Cut back on computer time(sorry it is taking over my life!)

Happy losing!!!!

Ok, I've added a poll so you can vote on what you want our accountability thread to be called. Everyone vote by the 5th so I can start the new thread that day. I'll tally up the names of everyone that has said they want to join in so I'll list those in the first post. That way we don't forget to check on anyone!

On a side note I went to the Commissary today for my bi-monthly grocery trip and stocked up on healthy foods. No processed, fatty or carb loaded foods for me!! I'll be doing a combination low fat/low carb/whole food diet. That means lots of fresh fruits and veggies lean meat and all kinds of "light" stuff.

I'm really getting ready to work hard for this! Anyone else psyching themselves up??

Okay motivated mommys I am going to really do it this time. As soon as I get rid of this dumb sinus cold. at least I have not been eating much these last few days. Just doesnt taste good! Friday weigh ins sound good, now can someone hide my scale Sat thru Thurs?

Dh and I are going low carb starting Jan 2nd. For valentines we are giving each other a membership to our gym. I need to loose 90-100 lbs. not necessarily all in one year because I'm not going to set my goal too high. I wouldn't be upset about that though! I'm taking it slow and just focusing on WHAT I am eating and excersize slow and steady. Eventually it WILL come off of my bones!

Ok, looks like we're the Motivated Mommies!! I'm thinking of going ahead and setting up the new thread since it looks unanimous. That way we can each list our individual goals. Just had an idea....what if you all PMed me with a list of your goals and I added them to the first post of the new thread?? That way they are there for us to go back and refer to, somewhat set in stone and you don't have to search through the posts for them? What do you think?

Anyone that wants to do that, PM me and I'll gladly post it for you!!
