Well..i posted a while ago that i won a 2 month free membership to curves. Well went 1 time about 2 weeks ago....i did like it. It was 30 min and you were in and out, the staff was nice, people were nice, felt of sort of lke a work out (think will feel more like one when i get used to the equimpment) .plus i like the automatic updates to weigh and measure you.

but on the negative side i can see where it could get boring doing the same thing over and over.

They want me to make a decision on whether or not to join since there prices are going up on Feb from 30 eom to 40 . which is a good differance between the 2 plus you have to sign a 1 year contract....

There is so much we can be doing with 30 eom like saving up for a new car etc. I could say i could just get out and walk but ds is not a big stroller fan(he is 2) so cnt hve him walk in the street yet

what would you do???Join( am a afraid i would just at some point be making donations) or dont?

I joined in August, did the 3 month pre-pay. I did start getting tired of it after a while, and was making myself go, but then i started to see the inches falling off, & really decided to dedicate going 3x a week, weather it's MWF or TTS. I've lost over 10 lbs of body fat and 12 inches! I'm not huge, i'm about 5'3", 148 lbs, size 10, but i've got over 33% body fat (used to be higher)! I'm seeing my waist get smaller, my thighs getting toned up, and for me, it's worth the $36 a month. You could cut lunch out 1x a week & come up with the money. Good luck on your decision.

I had joined Curves after 2nd ds and I liked it. I lost 43 pounds and lots of inches. A year is great but then it just stopped working for me , I got frustrated and bored with it. IF you dedicate 3 days a week for you it will work. Once your year is up you can go month to month!

Forgot to mention... they have an early-contract buyout. It's supposed to be $10 for each month you've been on the contract, not to exceed $50 (plus tax). Check into it, i'm not sure if it's with every Curves or not, since their independently owned.

I joined it was ok, got sick of the same thing and of the music they played plus I had a hard time for child care. I now use workouts at home and walk when it is warm. For me it wasn't worth the money.
