Out of curiosity- what exercises do you feel are most effective for you?

Personally, all types crunches (reg., reverse and so on) and any ballet type leg movements work for me and lifting weights. I just get tired of doing the same things- I really don't care for crunches- but they do help (if I keep up on them!).

I agree with crunches if done consistantly over time.
Also, leg lifts, and running.

Cardio, at least three times a week for thirty minutes (burns calories faster)

Lunges, squats, leg press, pliees with a dumb bell, dead lifts, anything for the lower body (my strongest part)

For definition, I love to do pilates ball exercises for my arms and my abs

I work out on my elliptical machine for 30 minutes 3-5 times a week. My husband and I also work out with kettlebells (think a shotput with a handle - it's a Russian weight lifting thing). I try to work out with those 3 times a week (strength and endurance training) as well. I love the kettlebell for toning. It provides pretty much a full body workout and I've only scratched the surface as far as exercises I can do and muscle groups I can target.

Squats & lunges are most effective.

One of my favorite ab exercises is the firm dvd. Side bends while kneeling. Hold a 3-5 dumbell overhead with both hands and bend to each side. Do reps on each side then alternate. Then hold the dumbell out in front of you and twist from left to right and vice versa.

Squats, mule kicks, crunches and toe raises (My calves get defined fast so I love these for that reason alone!)

A mix of cardio for 20 minutes or more combined with crunches are the most effecive for me. Not only doing the crunches, but doing them properly is what really helps.

I do one hour cardio everyday (4 miles) and abs and do arms or legs (alternating days). For legs, lunges and squats and then for arms bicep curls and the tricep extensions. I go to the gym just about everyday so I use the weight machines there but when I can't make it I do the squats, lunges and arm stuff at home too!
