Hi

I am thinking of taking over (lack of better words) the elemantary youth group at our church. It would be for ages k-5th grade. I need to think of some activities that would be fun for that age and inexpensive. Keeping in mind that the parents might just drop off and come back to pick them up.

I have thought of
bowling
roller skating
What other ideas do you have that would be good we can either go out for an activity or do something in the fellowship room like craft or movie or something.

Thanks for the help

In the summer: family picnics, strawberry picking and then social for the congregation

Spring time: volleyball/badminton game night in a local gym, t-ball/softball tourneys

Winter (to do inside): friendship bracelets, tie dyed t-shirt, create a youth flag

When I was in my youth group we had a lot of fun just playing "old timey" games like red rover, duck duck goose. We would run around like maniacs and just have a ton of fun with one another!

My dh and I run the YCC - which is the youth group, grades 3-5, at our church. Our pastor lent us two really great resources (books).

How about going somewhere like chucky cheese, mini golf, camping, bonfire - cooking hot dogs & making smores, church lock-in, trip to a local zoo or children's museum if there's one close by.

Crafts - Decorating cupcakes or cookies - ugh...now I'm drawing a blank. LOL Oriental Trading has crafts you can do fairly cheaply.
