I go to Curves MWF play tennis or ride horses Sat, and in the summer tennis on Sunday but can someone tell me I thought you were supposed to leave a day between each gym workout to let your muscles relax or is that an old wives tale!

Anne

Anne,

I think you are to skip a day if you have a really hard workout and have really worked the muscles, like weight lifting or working your abs. Also, stretching AFTER the workout helps too.

If I lift weights one day, or work my abs hard, I skip a day. I run everyday though..

Incidentally, I wish I had someone to play tennis with.. that's a really good workout!
