Okay, now I know this sounds ridiculous, but does anyone have any ideas on how to gain weight, I have had three kids and am under a hundred pounds. I'm 5'2" and was denied for health insurance because of my weight. I have never heard of this and just thought I was skinny because my dad's tall and skinny, I didn't so much get the tall part of it, but have always been thin. I've eat more than most men I know, does anyone know what may cause this? Is it my metabolism or is there something else it could be?

Girl I am TOTALLY with you on this one. I've tried eating everything in sight, but no change. So I thought I'd eat healthier and it would help - nope, I actually LOST weight! My dr says that my being underweight is probably a large factor in not being able to get pregnant. But overall I just need to gain some weight. I see pictures of myself and I look sick because I'm so thin. But I can put away as much food, if not more, than my husband most days. *shrug* I've had suggestions of those Boost drinks or Ensure, but I can't stomach them. I've always been a stick and had high metabolism; my whole family's like that.

I personally don't have this problem - but my son does. LOL

Eat healthy fats - avocados, cheese etc. You can also add ensure after a meal - we add pediasure for ds. Drink whole milk instead of lower fat milk. Full fat yogurt instead of low fat. GL!

I'm so glad to hear someone else is with me on this. Okay next question how old are you? I'm 22 and everyone says that my metabolism will slow down, but when my oldest daughter looks almost as big as me it makes me feel bad. I feel okay looking in the mirror it's looking at pictures that makes me sick. Especially when I am next to someone else, I look like nothing but bones.

I do eat healthy, I eat a lot of meats and proteins and do drink whole milk and stuff. My dh has finally got insurance so I have been giving slim fast a shot with my normal meals and if this doesn't help then I'm going to see the doc.

Oh and I wanted to say that I started lifting weights and so far in the new year I have gained two pounds so it's a start, three more pounds to one hundred. That's horrible.
