I just wanted to share a personal story that I often remind myself of when I'm doubting my faith.
When I was about 28 weeks pg in my 2nd pregnancy we were waiting on some answers with the house we were having built. We had been contacted by the mortgage company telling us that our first house needed to sell - and at the time we had just listed it b/c in our initial conversation w/the mortgage company they said we did NOT have to sell the house to qualify.
DH was waiting on a call - I took our oldest son upstairs to rock him. Knowing that I was at the point in my pg that I went into labor the first time - I rocked ds #1, I cried, and I prayed. I prayed for an answer - I didn't pray for the new house or to stay in the old. I prayed for an answer so that we weren't worrying and stressing about what might happen - especially at that critical time in our pregnancy. When ds #1 fell asleep I layed him in his crib - no sooner had I closed his door the phone rang - thank God - with our answer. We were approved for the loan on our new home w/out the contingency of our old house selling.
We've lived here now for about 6 months and have had no indications that it was a wrong move for us. The neighborhood is younger - our kids will have others to play with. The expenses with our new home are less than our old, dh's commute is about 15 minutes compared to an hour - or he can drive about 2 miles and then take the bus in.
Just wanted to share our answered prayer story.
