Some of you may recall me talking about how hard it has been to find a church that both dh and I feel comfortable in. Basically it has taken us nine years of marriage. However while stationed here we did find that church and yesterday was our last Sunday in attendance. I was so overwhelmed. It was like saying "goodbye" to a dying pet. Sorry to say, but same kind of feeling.

Dh's parents came with us and after the praise and worship our pastor called us to the front and presented us (Dh) with a framed plaque of two pictures he took of us at dh's winging on Friday. It was engraved by the church as well. It was just beautiful. I started crying (of course) in front of all those people in the congregation. He wishes us well and prayed that we'd be safe and happy in "the city".

I love our pastor. He has been so good for us. He has lead us and inspired us to be better Christians as well as make us feel like a more unified family. I am truly going to miss him and this church. .........

and to have to think about finding another church just makes me tear up........

What a wonderful gesture from your pastor! I'll keep your hunt for a new "home" church in my prayers. It is such a hard thing to find - a church that feels like home. But, when you find it, what a wonderful blessing!
