Hi ladies!
I hope you are all doing GREAT on your weight loss journey. I really haven't been checking in here for quite some time. The reason is that I've really fallen off the wagon. In fact, I've fallen off and the wagon kept on. It kept rolling and rolling and rolling. I can't even see it anymore.
I have just started my second job this week, and next weekend, I'll start my third job. Two part-time jobs!! Whoo-hoo!!! I'm excited, because they're going to help us kill some more debt.
I also know myself enough to know that I can only focus on a few things at a time and be successful at them. I am going to put my diet on hold for a while, until life settles down here. I know. I know. I should continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle while focusing on my 3 jobs. I know that in theory, but I also know myself. It ain't happening. I also worry that there will be people out there who will just think "there's another person that couldn't keep a New Year's resolution." I even worry that there are people out there who will think "Big surprise. I knew she wouldn't keep up with it." Trust me - I've had those thoughts, too, and I'm trying to stop that negative self-talk.
I continue to support all of you Motivated Mommies!!! You guys can do it!! Stay positive, stay motivated!!!

Congrats on all of your new jobs! One way to think of these additional jobs- they are keeping you moving and you would not be sitting at home! Just keep on eating healthly- when you get a break from your jobs- you will probably have to clean your house (Lord knows when I am not home- the house gets neglected! !), just set a timer for 15 minutes and speed clean (I do that for each room I plan on doing!)- you will break a sweat and as long as you keep on moving- you are doing good! Keep eating healthy- slowly eliminate any pop products (well- maybe you will need the caffine!) and keep on drinking at least 64 ozs. of water a day! Even if you are not focusing on losing weight- you will be focusing on your health in a way (remember- don't forget about number 1- that is you!). Good luck and I hope that everything works out for you! !

I am totally the same way girl. I know I can only focus on one thing at a time to be able to function the way I want (the RIGHT way!! lol!) but I've also been slowly learning to multi-task and prioritize. Your bills and debt are definitely important and getting rid of the debt will no doubt give you lots of relief and a huge sense of accomplishment, but remember, you need to have energy to tackle anything like that and eating healthy -- at least as much as you can and not just totally throwing all those good habits out the window! -- will ultimately help you reach your goal of being debt free. Then at the same time, you'll feel good and be able to ENJOY that relief!! I haven't been on here much either, but I'm still logging my calories and eating as healthy as I can when I don't log. I know its not always easy, so I just compromise. To be perfectly honest with you, I had McDonalds yesterday for lunch. I got the chicken nuggets and shared those and a small fry with my son and had a coffee for some extra caffeine, ( I can't do diet soda!). It was good and then to make up for it, I had a salad and baked potato for dinner and my calories were fine. Just do the best you can and like stevesgal said, drink your water and try to do mini-exercises durning the day and just keep moving! (I'm sure that wont be a problem working three jobs!! )
Hang in there and remember, we're all rooting for ya!!!

I have not posted to much on the motivated mommy thread but thats because it would be the same everyday went to the Y drank water.... well almost every day.
Now Rachel, Just because you have 3 jobs does not mean you cant stay motivated! No there may not be enough time to walk the track but you can still watch what your eating! Just try to plan your meals around it. Besides you need to eat healthy to maintain 3 jobs and conceive. Good luck and I hope you will reconsider giving up. I KNOW you can do it!!!!
ps dont get mad at us we are only trying to help get you to do what is best for your body!

No, I'm certainly NOT mad. I appreciate all of the kind words. Please know that I did not start this thread so that I could hear good things about myself, either.
I agree with what you are all saying. I'm not giving up. I'm not eating fast food everyday, or drinking sugar pop. It just isn't my main focus right now.
Let me tell ya. . . I am TIRED! Right now, I'm working from about 5:00 in the morning (4:45 today!) until about 7:00 at night. It all depends on what kind of a poop-mess the dogs make! ha ha I have been in bed by 9:00. I do sleep really well at night, which is a healthy thing, right? My poor dh has done so much around the house. I really appreciate him. And yes, he has put applications out for a second job, but in our podunk little area, there just aren't many openings. Besides, he coaches, so his available hours are pretty limited.
Thanks, girls. Again, PLEASE know that I didn't start this thread as a "let's see what good things they might say about me if I threaten to leave Motivated Mommies." I really didn't!!! I just wanted to explain myself, in case anyone wondered why I haven't checked in for a while.
Keep up the hard work, ladies!!!
Editted to add: I had given up caffeine, since we've been trying to conceive, but I'm considering adding some caffeine soda mid-afternoon, when I get really worn down

Rachel,
I thinks thats okay about the caffine. I was terrible when pregnant with my oldest, I had no problem giving up coffee (the smell was yuk in the morning) but I LOVED fontain coke and the office I worked in was connected with a mall and foodcourt so I had easy access to not give up that habit. He turned out fine.

Have you thought about taking a multi-vitamin or B-12? I have heard that b-12 gives you extra energy- personally I have never tried it though! One thing I will say is that if you give up 1 can of pop- that is 15 lbs. in one year! That really adds up!
BTW- praise the Lord that your DH is stepping up to the plate helping you around the house! I know my DH would not do a thing!
