Hi Ladies,

I'll admit it: I've never been on a diet. I don't believe in them. I believe in eating healthy and getting plenty of exercise. I don't own a scale because I don't believe in them either - I just know when my clothes fit well and when I feel good in my skin, so I don't care how much I weigh.

Hm, that philosophy was all well and good pre-baby. Now I am here, 6 months after giving birth, and am still a good size larger than when I started the pregnancy. I know, that's not all that bad. But I don't have the money for a new wardrobe and I have great clothes already paid for and just waiting for me! More importantly, I don't feel good in my skin with the way I look right now.

How do you actually lose weight? I have always just maintained a healthy weight so I never had to work on getting smaller. But now I kinda want to. The problem is, I still don't really believe in diets so I figure I'm just going to have to change a few habits - like how I eat during the day, etc. (being a SAHM doesn't make it easy to lose weight!!)

so... what do you do? those of you who have been successful in losing baby weight or any other weight, how did you do it? I'd love to hear your stories and hope to gain insight into my own journey...

Eat better...move more. At least that is what I do and what has always worked for me, to lose weight and maintain weight.

I have a pretty good diet and I eat a ton of different fruits, vegetables, fish etc I do like pasta and bread, so I try to be careful about that...a food diary is really helpful I think, if you write down everything you put in your mouth. Sometimes it's surprising.

I also find for myself, that I need to eat more often than three times a day, so I eat probably about 5 times a day, mini meals if you will. Otherwise, I find I get way too hungry and tend to eat things that I wouldn't normally eat.
