When I run into the wind, it is hard, but I just keep thinking how much more stronger I am making myself.
Also, try keeping your mouth closed and breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. That really helps me.
Good luck. Oh, btw, my first 5k this year is on May 5 too! I am nowhere prepared for it, but I did get 3 miles in everyday this week except for today!! Yeah for me!! LOL
Good luck on Saturday running!!

That's part of the problem. I am a mouth breather. My nasal passages are too narrow. Believe me, I've tried so many times to convert, and I just can't. I have a rhythmic breating beat and I"m sure people think I'm dying, because I sound worse than I feel, but it works for me. EXCEPT when it's windy. I do keep my head down though....but it still sucks!
I might have to push back my first 5k of the season until mid May. I am so not ready for it on the 5th ~ unless it's not a windy day which would be a HUGE surprise! It's always windy to some extent here!
I'VE MISSED YOU LISA!!!
