I am only good at one thing: working out!!!
Hi, I haven't been here that long, but even I can tell that you are good at more things than that. You seem to be such a strong and carring person and many of your posts are very inspirational. I might even start going to the gym again

Good luck and have fun!

Good luck with your training. I think it always helps when you have a big goal you are working towards. My sister runs half marathons and she loves the competition. It really keeps her motivated (that and the rockin body she has because of all the running). Just be careful not to overdo it - she has to have knee surgery this month from all of that pounding.

I am planning a trip home this summer (August) and I went online to see if they are having any running races and sure enough they are. I signed up for the 5K!!! Yeah!!

The course is all along the water front. I can't wait!

Good luck Christy! Running the marathon with your dh will be lots of fun!

I am going to run a 5 mile race in July and then the 1/2 marathon again in October.

When I ran the 1/2 marathon with my BIL and it made it so much easier!

What a great goal for your and dh. My dh got me into running a few years ago. Each year we do a 5K together (although he is much faster than me). This year we are going to try to get our oldest (13) to do it with us. Actually, several family members, my bil, sil, and nephew, among others run in this annual event. Several others come to cheer us on. Afterward we usually go back to someones house for a barbeque. Dh and I have said that we would like to do a 10K and possibly a 1/2 marathon. I think we will be able to do at least that. I cannot immagine doing a full marathon though.

Good luck in your endevour. Keep us posted on your progress, maybe it will inspire me
